Janome Straight Stitch Foot, 7mm

Often used on very fine or very heavy fabrics, the Straight Stitch Foot is flat on the underside to provide an even pressure against the feed dogs. It has a rounded needle hole which offers the benefit of more support around the needle to prevent skipped stitches and puckering. The small needle hole of this foot prevents the lightweight fabric from "buckling" and causing puckering or skipped stitches. It is also ideal for sewing very narrow seams.

Foot for sewing fabrics and knitted fabrics with straight and triple straight stitch. Thanks to its use, we reduce the possibility of problems during sewing, such as: pulling the material under the needle plate, passing the stitch and the difficulty of the needle breaking through the thick layers of the material. In addition, the straight stitch with the use of this foot is perfectly even, even on the most demanding fabrics.

The foot is entirely made of metal. We reach for the foot when sewing thin materials: silk, satin, voile, jersey, etc., and the thick, strong ones: denim, codura, denim. The Janome Straight Stitch Foot cradles the needle as it enters the fabric. This extra support results in perfect stitching on both very fine and very heavy fabric types. Gently guide the fabric along the seam guide line on the needle plate, letting the fabric feed naturally. Often used for Delicate fabrics. Note: Only select the straight stitch with a central needle position when using this foot. 

This accessory will fit on Janome machines in Category B, C-1 & C-2: Top loading machines (6.5mm - 7mm max stitch width - low/high shank)
