The presser foot on the Juki MCS 1500 can be lifted easily at an upward angle to make it easier for you to slip the fabric underneath. The pressure of the presser foot is also adjustable based on the fabric you are working with. The extension plate has guide lines to make it easier for you to manage your seams, while the presser foot also comes with a guide to use. There is an external thread cutter as well to make things even easier for you. The differential feed is adjustable with a single dial to make it easier to sew different fabrics.

• Super Easy Looper Threading: The lower looper threader disengages for fast, easy looper threading, in seconds. Just slide the thread into the slot and snap the looper into place.
• Differential Feed Adjustment: Adjust the differential feed to sew beautiful finishes. This includes stretch fabrics, such as, knits and georgette.
• Extension Plate with Seam Guidelines: The seam guide lines on the extension plate are a useful aid for sewing.
• Adjustable Presser Foot Pressure: Presser foot pressure can be increased or decreased by turning the knob.
• Selectable Stitch Width: Either stitch with 2.5mm or 5mm.
• 5mm wide Cover stitch. Perfect for various applications such as simple hems, sleeve cuffs and necklines. Since the stitching stretches, it's ideal for stretch fabrics. This 5mm coverstitch is the precise width most often used in off-the-peg clothing, so the MCS 1500 will have you sewing like a pro!
• Narrow 2.5mm coverstitch
• Easy Stitch Length Adjustments: Change the stitch length for specialty thread or overlock techniques using the conveniently located dial.
• Front Foot Lift: The presser foot is higher on its tip to allow the fabric to easily be inserted at the start of sewing. In addition, raising the foot lifter allows for 8mm and 10mm of space to easily insert even thick layer of fabric.
• Exterior Thread Cutter: The knife system on the MCS-1500 operates with a dedicated drive to assure consistent and smooth cutting for both light and heavy weight fabrics - so all fabric edges can be trimmed safely and professionally.
• Presser Foot with Guide: A presser foot equipped with a guide that presses down on both the left and right sides is provided as a standard accessory.
• Looper thread tension. Thread tension is steeplessly adjustable, making your work so much easier  especially with demanding fabics. 
• Flat Joining seam with coverstitch.  With pajamas, joggers, or summer dresses, nothing should rub against your skin  The coverstitch lets you sew perfectly flat joining seams for superb wearing comfort.
• Chain stitch. Since the lower thread forms a chain on the wrong side of the fabric, the stitch is strong when it's stretched making it ideal for stitching the waist and side seams of pants. It also does well as decorative stitching for necklines.  Feel freat in cloths and stretch with you, using elastic thread in the chain looper will produce highly elastic seams - idealy suited for sports and children's wear. 
• Simple hem with chainstitch.  Lets you create find hem finishes for trousers and jacket pockets, and for especially decorative textiles such as pillows and furniture covers.
• Adjustable differential feed. Adjust the differential feed to sew beautiful finishes, even with stretch fabrics such as knits and georgette.
• Exterior thread cutter. The exterior thread cutter is useful when removing the fabric after raising the presser foot at the end of sewing.
