Janome Universal Ruffler (Snap-On)

Rufflers have been around for a very long time and have changed very little over the years. Although at first sight, a ruffler may appear bulky and complicated, its innovative design actually makes it very easy to use. This design allows fabrics to be ruffled or pleated to the desired fullness quickly and easily and also has the capability to vary the size of ruffles. If you're looking to make pleated or gathered ruffles for that special project, you've found your ultimate accessory! This snap-on Universal Ruffler fits all top-loading Janome, Craft Master, and Dual Sew sewing machines. It is a heavy-duty ruffler with tight gripping teeth to ruffle almost any fabric. It has a smooth action and is fully adjustable in the depth of ruffle or tucked pleats. It is also adjustable in the number of tucks per stitches. This ruffler also fits other brands of sewing machines. It is important to note that they are not suitable for heavy furnishing fabrics.

Position 1 will give you a dense frill or shirring. By setting position 6 or 12, we will get rarer, decorative tabs. Setting to the position marked with an asterisk will allow you to stitch without wrinkling the material. At the same time, we can adjust the depth (width) of the pleats/frills, in the range from 1 to 8 mm. The high-precision collector ensures that the material is collected accurately and without leakage. The effects obtained with this foot will beautifully decorate dresses, blouses, curtains or decorative bedspreads. It should be remembered that the end result is highly influenced by the type of material used. Rigid materials should be slightly moistened before starting work. We also recommend performing a sewing test on a scrap of fabric.
