Janome Even Feed Foot with Quilting Guide (Open Toe, High Shank), 7mm

If you've ever struggled to feed your fabric through a sewing machine, you need a Walking Foot. Also known as a "Dual Feed Foot" and "Even Feed Foot", the Walking Foot is an essential tool for any sewer. This foot has built-in feed dogs that grip your fabric for better control. Sewing multiple layers of fabric professionally and with ease. The even feed foot is designed with a set of feed dogs (teeth) which allow the fabric to feed without shifting and eliminates the problem of the under layer of fabric coming up short. The even feed foot is also great for topstitching which can be inconsistent due to irregularity of stitching. This is often caused by the bulk created with the seam allowance especially around collars and reveres. Using the walking foot for topstitching will eliminate this problem and give perfect stitching every time. Use this foot when matching stripes and checks, sewing draylons and velvets, making up knitwear or when sewing long seams on curtains especially if matching patterns.  It is also useful when tackling knit, leather, vinyl, or plastics and other difficult to handle materials. Also includes a detachable and adjustable quilting guide for quilters. Used with the Quilting guide it helps to maintain perfect parallel lines when stitching and keeps the fabric and batting layers from feeding through unevenly.  This Open-Toe version is often preferred by quilters as it allows better visibility of the stitching and needle position.
