Janome Darning Foot with Darning Plate for DB Hook Models

The Free Motion Spring Foot is the perfect tool for free motion quilting, stippling or embroidery. The spring action keeps the fabric from lifting with the needle as the stitch is being formed which helps eliminate thread breakage with specialty or heavier threads. Be sure to use the appropriate needle for the thread you are using. The darning plate is placed over the existing needle plate to cover the feed dogs. Includes a screw-on darning plate for more stability when using heavier weight fabrics. 

A new generation foot that allows for smooth lines and good quality stitch when sewing in any direction. We will use it to create beautiful quilting (e.g. flight of a bumblebee) and with its help, we will create freehand embroidery. The foot will come in handy when making repairs, i.e. darning. This foot has been specially designed for durability and to work at the high speeds of the 1600 series and the new HD9 Professional.

The straight stitch plate included in the set has a positive effect on the stitch quality and prevents the fabric from being pulled under the plate. It can be used for quilting, embroidering, darning as well as normal sewing.

Assembly and fitting

The presser foot is screwed directly to the presser foot mounting bar. The height of the foot is set using the foot knob. The straight stitch plate is attached to the universal plate. The set is entirely made of metal.
