Beginner Quilting Class - Alternate Rail Fence 54” x 72”
Call the store at (403) 346-2597 or register online to reserve a seat now, seats are limited! This class will be offered in-store & is open to anyone of any gender, orientation, or race that wishes to learn.
Note: This is a 2 (or 3) day class
Date: Tentative, date is final once we meet minimum enrollment -- 10:00AM - 5:00PM MDT. Students should attend all class sessions.
Lana will use a simple quilt design to teach you how:
- · To prepare your fabric for cutting,
- · To cut your fabric,
- · How "Quilt Math” works,
- · To do accurate piecing,
- · To make up your quilt top assembly,
- · To add borders to your quilt,
- · To baste your quilt,
- · To quilt your sandwich.
This will be a 2-session class. The first session will start with fabric preparation and cutting, and we should be able to get started on quilt block assembly. The second session will focus on adding borders, then basting the quilt, and quilting ideas/suggestions.
We have available a stand-alone class on Binding (featuring different binding techniques), for those who may be interested. This is an enrichment to beginner quilting and also serves those who only want to learn different binding techniques.
Cost: $150
Lunch Break: 1-hour free time for lunch
