Janome Piping Foot, 7mm

Used to apply piping, this presser foot gives you a professional finish whether piping is purchased pre-covered or you cover it yourself. Ideal for upholstered or home decoration projects. The Piping Foot is ideal for making your own piping or if readymade piping is not available. The Piping Foot (sometimes mistakenly referred to as the cording foot) is designed with two grooves on the underside and will hold and cover the cord when making piping tape. It can also be used for attaching piping. Maximum cord size is 5 mm.

Creating and sewing insets with this foot is incredibly easy. There are two grooves on the bottom of the presser foot that allow it to be guided evenly along the tab, without the risk of sliding. In this way, the tab inserted between the two layers of fabric is precisely sewn, and then it can be used as a decorative element of clothing, pillowcases or bedspreads, while strengthening and stiffening the seam. The foot is designed for sewing with a straight stitch, but it is worth noting that the hole in the foot is slightly larger and allows you to adjust the position of the needle to be able to sew as close to the protrusion as possible. The maximum size of an inset that can be sewn in is 5 mm.

• Only suitable for machines with a rotary hook.
• Maximum stitch width - from 5 mm to 7 mm

This accessory will fit on Janome machines in Category B, C-1 & C-2: Top loading machines (6.5mm - 7mm max stitch width - low/high shank)
