Janome Pintuck Foot (7 Groove)

This foot is the easiest, fastest, and most accurate way to create distinctive, eye-catching pintucks. The grooves are used to ensure your pintucks are perfectly spaced without any tedious measuring or marking. All you need is a twin needle, two spools of thread, and your creativity. Pintucks are beautiful embellishments for fine sewing.

The pintuck foot is used on Janome sewing machines with a horizontal hook. The sole of the foot has grooves for easy creation of multiple parallel rows of tucks. It is also possible to create pintucks with an insert cord with a diameter of less than 1.5 mm.

The number of grooves depends on the weight of your fabric. The heavier the fabric, the less grooves. The lighter the fabric, the more grooves. For instance, if you have a lightweight sheer organza, go for a 9 groove Pintuck Foot. If you have a medium-weight cotton, a 5 groove or 7 groove will work wonderfully. A 5 groove will give you maximum height on medium weight fabric, whereas a 7 groove will be a more delicate pintuck without as much height.
