Janome Applique Foot, 7mm

A favorite among sewists, this foot is shorter then most for easier maneuvering when sewing appliques pieces. Made of clear plastic for easy viewing of your stitches. Unique underside is flat around the needle hole for optimum thread tension, but opens wide behind the needle to let the stitching and fabric edges pass through unobstructed for even the tightest curves and angles.

When doing applique, we often use the standard satin stitch foot or, more recently, the open toe satin stitch foot for greater visibility. However, Janome also has a dedicated "Applique Foot" in its range of accessories which really makes this creative task so much easier. It also has the added benefit of an elevated heal which allows a close satin stitch to be sewn and move more smoothly without being flattened into the fabric. 

*Please note: Because of the elevated heel on this foot it is only compatible with machines that have the extra heel ledge on the back of the foot holder.

This accessory will fit on Janome machines in Category B, C-1 & C-2: Top loading machines (7mm max stitch width - low/high shank)
