When using multiple colors of embroidery thread it makes for trouble-free embroidery, as it allows you to set out your colors as you sew. This spool stand keeps the thread feeding smoothly, especially when using cone-shaped spools. The vertical arm of the thread stand lifts the thread higher than the machine which then facilitates an even feed without added tension. Attaches easily to the machine.
